What I Use

About Webflow Development

With clients wanting websites built in the fastest time possible while keeping the same level of quality. Webflow has risen to the occasion, presenting a solution to which web designers and developers are quickly clinging to. Sites built with Webflow have doubled in the last four years. That is, of course for good reason. Since the time needed to create a website with Webflow versus building one from scratch, using custom code is extremely faster. You get a site you can run yourself, without a developer holding the keys to it.

Questions about Webflow Development

The things people ask before this project starts.

  • When the site is content-driven and the visual design is the point, Webflow gets you a fast site with hosting included that your own team can edit without a developer, at a fraction of the cost of a custom build. A product with real logic behind it, such as accounts, payments, data is better off custom, and I will say so.

  • Yes, and that is the usual workflow. I translate the design into a proper Webflow structure containing classes, symbols, a grid that holds together responsively. Instead of a stack of one-off divs, because that difference is what you feel every time you edit the site later.

  • Yes! That is the point of the CMS structure I build: sensible collections and clearly named fields, so publishing a case study or changing a price is a form rather than a developer. You get a walkthrough of it at handover.

  • They are part of the design rather than decoration added at the end. Scroll effects, page transitions and micro-interactions are built into the build, timed and eased like the rest of the site, and they respect reduced-motion settings.

  • The markup it produces is clean and semantic, which is the right starting point. What I add is what it does not do alone: structured data, proper redirects, meta templates, and the performance work that turns a good foundation into a fast one.

  • Webflow itself is faster than a custom coded solution. So a presentational site is typically two to three weeks, because there is no backend to build and no custom code to test. The limit is usually how quickly content and feedback arrive, not the build itself.
